 
Marika Calfas
Chief Executive Officer
Marika Calfas is the CEO of NSW Ports. She has over 20 years’ experience in the port sector including in port planning and development.
With a strong belief that ports are crucial to our wellbeing and essential for the nation’s economy, Marika is passionate about driving improvements and efficiencies across port supply chains, informing the wider community and decision makers of the importance and value of ports and identifying new opportunities.
Marika holds an Engineering Degree (Environmental), Masters of Engineering Management and Masters of Environmental Law.
Marika represents the sector advising government on industry reform agendas. She is the Vice President (2025-2027) for Asia-Southeast and Oceania for the International Association of Ports and Harbours, as well as a board member of Infrastructure NSW and RDA Illawarra Shoalhaven; a Director of TT Club and; the Deputy Chair of Ports Australia and Infrastructure Partnerships Australia. Marika is also a Council Member of the Australian Logistics Council.
